I'm not a natural communicator. I know that surprises people when they hear the founder of an AI conversation coaching app say it, but it's the truth.

The Moment That Started Everything

I was sitting in a salary negotiation two years ago. I'd done the research. I knew my market value. I had three competing offers. And when the moment came to state my number, I froze. I lowballed myself by $30,000 because the silence felt unbearable and I wanted to fill it with something — anything.

Walking to my car afterward, I thought: what if I'd had a coach in my ear? Not someone sitting across the table, but a voice only I could hear, whispering "hold the silence — they're about to counter" or "you have leverage, anchor higher."

That's the day Tactical Talk was born.

The Real Problem

Here's what nobody talks about: most people are terrible at conversations that matter. Not because they're stupid or unprepared, but because high-stakes conversations trigger a stress response that literally shuts down the prefrontal cortex — the part of your brain responsible for strategic thinking.

You prepare for hours, walk in confident, and the moment pressure hits, your brain reverts to fight-or-flight. All that preparation evaporates. You say "that sounds fair" when you should say "I appreciate the offer, but based on my research and competing offers, I'm targeting something closer to..."

Why AI Changes Everything

A human coach can't be in your ear during a live negotiation. A book can't react to what the other person just said. But an AI that listens in real-time, understands context, and delivers tactical advice in under 3 seconds? That's a superpower.

We built Tactical Talk with 10 specialized modes because a negotiation coach and a dating coach need completely different instincts. The AI doesn't just hear words — it tracks emotional patterns, identifies tactics being used against you, and whispers the exact right move at the exact right moment.

What Drives Me

Every time someone tells me Tactical Talk helped them land a job, close a deal, or simply have a hard conversation they'd been avoiding for months, it validates everything. Communication shouldn't be a talent reserved for the naturally charismatic. It should be a skill anyone can access — with the right support in their ear.

We're just getting started. Detection Shields that identify manipulation in real-time. Body language coaching. Comedy mode for performers. This technology has the potential to fundamentally change how humans navigate their most important conversations.

And it all started because I couldn't handle a salary negotiation.
